Cilantro Chutney Recipe

Cilantro Chutney:
This light chutney is a perfect condiment to go with samosas, dosas, and other Indian treats. It’s refreshing taste opens the taste buds and gives a kick to many food dishes. It can also be used on a cracker with a cilantro leaf garnish.

Generous bunch of cilantro (Coriander Leaf)
1/2 cup freshly grate coconut meat (optional)
1 clove garlic
4-5 curry leaves
Pinch of Salt
1/2 Tablespoon Ghee
1/2 Tsp. Cumin

1) Blend first 5 ingredients (Optional – Add 2 green chilis for heat)
2) Heat cumin in ghee until it pops. Turn off heat and quickly stir in blended ingredients.
3) Allow to cool and then serve.

Serving Tips:
For use as a delicious vegetable dip – Mix 1 part chutney & 3 parts yogurt.
For use as a sandwich spread – Mix 1 part chutney & 2 parts cream cheese.
