What is Dosha?
Ayurvedic treatment is specific to an individual’s unique dosha (Prakruti). Pakruti is a combination of element energy which is present at the time of conception. Each individual is composed with a predominance of the elements which are reflected as physical and mental features. Thus, the element energy you are born with defines your physical and mental character and is the same from birth to death.

Know Your Dosha:
Your unique element combination is the same throughout your lifetime. When you know what element energy you have you can take the food which has opposite elements which will help you to maintain your health and prevent diseases. Not only that, knowing your prakruti will help prevent diseases as you will know which diseases you are prone to and how they are best avoided. The better you know and understand yourself the more easily bring yourself back into balance.

If you are currently suffering from a disorder or disease, knowing your dosha (prakruti) or imbalanced state (vikruti) will help guide you back into a state of health.
