Ayurvedic Massage:
Massage is used in Panchakarma, an intensive detox, as well as for individualized treatments tailored to the needs of the client or patient. The most well known Ayurvedic massage is Abhyangam, a medicated oil massage which involves two therapists who simultaneously deliver healing strokes to the whole body. Strokes include: tapping, squeezing, kneading, and traditional strokes meant to stimulate marma points which correlate with reflexology points, acupuncture, and acupressure.

The style and intensity of the massage is based on the individual’s needs at the time as well as their underlying constitution. This healing massage is deeply rejuvenating and relaxing. It is designed to cleanse and detoxify the body by boosting the effectiveness of the immune system. Thus, ayurvedic massage cures diseases as well as helps to maintain good health and overall wellness of an individual.

Ayurvedic Massage Table:
is performed on a massage table called a Droni. Due to the highly spiritual process involved in making the Droni, it contains spiritual properties delivered to the patient during massage. The tables are made from a tree specially selected from the forest and hand carved by a talented carpenter. Before each massage, the table is blessed to increase the consciousness of the table and further empower the healing transformation for the patient.

The oil used in Ayurvedic massage is warm and as it is rubbed into the body the healing properties of the oil are delivered directly into the tissues as oil is fat-soluble.
